𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 is a fast paced 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 song that talks about the beginning of humans, their discovery of fire and rise to the top, eventually gaining ego, destroying nature and themselves.

The first thing you notice is the 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟔 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫 laying the foundation, yet still coming through in the mix with melodic lead parts that harmonize greatly with guitars. The drums are packed with blastbeats and double bass as all 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 should be.

Guitars are filled with 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 parts that captivate the listener. Finally, the layered growls and screams sound as if the story is being told by a 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 and they really give a soul to the song.
